The Dot

a child's musing
In the vastness of the infinite,
my life is but a jot.

The apparent insignificance,
compared to this world's lot.

But then i feel the universal
whole, beating within my heart.

Standing back in awe i realize,
each i must have its dot!

We take our Logo image and name from the burr oak tree.

The Poet's Tree.com

proudly exalts the largest tree of it's kind in the State of Missouri.
It spreads its wide head of leaves over Burr Oak Road.
The tree is about 84 feet tall and 24 feet in circumference.
It is thought to be 300 years old, according to the
Missouri Department of Conservation

"The foolish
man seeks
happiness in
the distance,
the wise
grows it
under his feet."

James Oppenheim
